How to Find Articles

Having trouble finding articles? Find out where to start, and what to do when the article you need is not available at the STLCOP Library.

Using the Journal Title to Check for Full-Text

Searching by Journal title

If you don't see a STLCOP link, or if the link isn't working, you can check for full-text by searching our All Journal Titles page.

1. Copy your article's citation information.

2. Go to Library homepage > Library Collections > All Journal Titles.

3. In the search box, enter the Journal Title (examples: Journal of the American Medical Association) from your citation.

4. In the results list, under your journal title, look for the date range that includes the publication date for your article.

Watch out for a Full-Text Delay -- that link will not have access to the most current articles.

5. Click on the link with the date for your article.

This will take you to the journal or database website, where you can either search by date and page number for your article or enter the article title into the search box.
