Requesting Articles thru ILL

How do I request an article through Interlibrary Loan (ILL)?
Use the link below to submit a request.

Who can request articles through ILL?

ILL is available to all STLCOP students, staff, faculty and preceptors.

How much does ILL cost?

There are no fees for you to get articles through ILL. The Library does occasionally pay for some articles, but we don't pass that charge on to our users.

How do I know my request went through?

When filing out the ILL request form, you have the option to select whether or not you would like a copy of the request emailed to you upon submission. If you are unsure, just send an email to and ask if the request went through.

When will my article arrive?

ILL requests are generally processed the day they are received (please keep in mind the ILL office is closed on weekends and days the STLCOP campus is closed). After processing, articles usually arrive within 2-14 business days.

The Library is able to obtain most articles through ILL, however there are times when we can't obtain an article for various reasons. We will notify you if we are unable to fill your request.

What if I need to cancel an ILL request?

Email to cancel your request. Please provide the title or citation information of the article.

How will I know when my article is available?

When your article is ready, it will be sent via email as a PDF attachment.
